Welcome to Sôft studio

Sôft studio is a workshop where form, material, and craftsmanship are central. We create objects with care and curiosity – from functional items to larger sculptural pieces – with the ambition that each work should possess both functionality and a clear artistic expression.

Our work is based on a respect for the material's properties and the slow process that ceramics demand. We work with both porcelain and stoneware, allowing different techniques, glazes, and firings to shape each collection. Some of our work is done in close collaboration with restaurants, where we develop porcelain adapted for the gastronomic experience. At the same time, we explore freer forms through unique vases and other objects where the material's expression is given more prominence.

When time allows, we also work with tufted rugs – another way to explore structure, rhythm, and tactility. Although the materials differ, everything we do is united by the same philosophy: to create durable objects with presence, quality, and timeless simplicity.

At Sôft studio, we value the small-scale and the meticulously crafted. All objects leaving our workshop are handmade by Jesper or Alice, from the first lump of clay to the finished piece. We do not work with casting or industrial production – each form is thrown, built, and finished by hand, which means that every object carries its own unique expression. We believe that objects that take time to create also have a longer life – both in the home and in the environments where they are used daily.
