For me, ceramics is about exploration. I'm fascinated by how clay, glaze, and fire interact, and how small changes in the process can yield completely different results. It's precisely this combination of control and unpredictability that makes ceramics so inspiring to work with.

I primarily work with stoneware, mainly using coiling and sculpting techniques. Over the years, I've delved into various ceramic techniques and firings, from processing my own clay to wood-fired reduction firing and raku. Glazes, surfaces, and firing processes are a constant source of curiosity, and I see every new kiln opening as an opportunity to learn something new.

In my work, I want to highlight the character of the material. I enjoy experimenting with patterns, textures, and glazes, but always with the ambition of letting the clay retain its presence. For me, ceramics is most interesting when it sparks questions and curiosity – when the viewer wants to get closer, feel the surface, and ponder how the object came to be.

In addition to ceramics, drawing is an important part of my creative process. Many of the shapes, patterns, and compositions that emerge on paper later become inspiration for the tufted rugs produced by me and Jesper, Sôft studio.

I have studied ceramics at Folkuniversitetet in Helsingborg and Vårdinge Konsthantverksskola. The education has given me a broad technical foundation, but it's the continuous desire to experiment and develop that still drives my work.
